What to expect and what you will walk away with

  • Foundational DJ & Soundscaping Skills

Basic DJ techniques for mixing tracks (including support with software and recorded guidance). This is PRERECORDED mostly and you can start immediately. Creating seamless transitions and intuitive set-building. Designing music journeys with intentional rise, plateau, and integration. Curating supportive soundscapes that are emotionally and somatically attuned, not just trendy or “cool.” Using music as an emotional and energetic language to guide a full-bodied experience.

  • Somatics & Embodied Facilitation

Understanding somatics and somatization, how the body mobilises, processes and releases stored sensation and memory. Using somatic principles to support us in accessing deeper presence and awareness. Moving beyond the DJ booth: learning to hold space through somatic sensing rather than control. Tuning in to the energy of the room and guiding from embodied presence, not performance. Facilitating from the body: becoming a vessel for transmission and trust.

  • Body-Based Tools for Movement Guidance

Body mapping: identifying physical and energetic entry points for movement. Leading rhythmic cues that awaken instinctual movement and expressive flow. Guiding from breath, gravity, and sensation. Offering verbal prompts that open the body’s intelligence.

  • Music Therapy & Sound as Medicine

Basic principles of music therapy and how sound impacts mood, memory, and the nervous system. Choosing music that supports emotional processing, trauma sensitivity, and group coherence but also challenges our capasity and grows it! Crafting soundscapes that hold people through vulnerability, catharsis, and return. We will also enjoy sound therapy sessions and Kirtans!

  • Ecstasy & Elemental Embodiment

Guiding dancers into ecstatic peaks with safety and intention, not overwhelm. Working with the elements (water, earth, fire, air/wind, space) as archetypal maps for movement journeys. Exploring animalistic embodiment, inviting primal, untamed, intuitive movement. Cultivating ecstatic states through breath, rhythm, repetition, and rooted freedom.

  • Facilitation with Integrity

Holding a safe, grounded, and clear energetic container. Building transmission trust and leading with presence, not performance. Developing your unique voice and style as a facilitator. Understanding the subtle art of when to guide, and when to get out of the way.
